Okay this is just getting ridiculous...

I need to update this thing!!!
It's been completely ignored!!! How do I remind myself?! I'll think about it then all of a sudden... Poof! I forget for months and months and months!
Well, in the mean time let me tell you about the Alexander McQueen exhibit at the MET...
Never have I been so inspired in my life and may have just fully realised I chose the wrong thing to study at college.
It makes me sad that the world has been denied not only a great talent but someone who created art and fashion to make a statement, to change the world, to educate us on history, culture and life. Not someone who did it for fame and money which our world is so obsessed with these days. Working the MMVA after party last night for LG reminded me of this. So many people scrambling for the limelight, some so delusional they thought they were already in it when they've done nothing great or are great themselves. They treated anyone else they considered lower than them like trash. They had no respect for anyone. My impression is whenever you treat another human being with no respect, you're not a "great" person, no matter if you've had a hit single around the world, a video on Much Music or are currently sleeping with another "great" person. Being a dick does not make you superior.
Alexander McQueen was a great man and after all these years it's still sad to see we've lost such a talented, brilliant human being. Especially looking at what our world is becoming.
If you're at all in New York I strongly recommend seeing "Savage Beauty" at the MET.

  1. I am dying to see this exhibit, I've heard so many great things about it.
I actually cried when I heard that McQueen had passed away, as ridiculous as that sounds.
It just seems like the greatest people keep leaving the world and the shitty ones stay. Such a shame.
